Art, LOVE, Winter, and Surviving

I just recently put up my ACEO store page on TinyGallery.io They are a small company that specifically sells tiny art. If you are new to the ACEO world. It stands for " Art Cards, Originals, and Editions. They are essentially like Art trading cards. What a cool way to share original art! I have enjoyed most of my nights sitting on the couch in my cozy living room painting tiny pieces of art.

I have found myself...down lately, with everything going on in this country. Everyday I'm like....When is the winter going to end? When is this administration going to end? Honestly as much as I loath the winter, I think I'd take 10 years of winter, over 3 more years of this fascist government we have. I have been trying not to doom scroll media, but I also need to stay informed. I often find myself retreating to art, as a way to sooth my soul from the never ending barrage of bad news. I am sad in my heart for the state of this country. Although I know under our shiny appearance, America has a dark past, and a track record of atrocities.

Underneath my deep sadness, I hold onto hope. Hope that we will come together and hold those accountable. That we recognize that LOVE can bring us home.

In these times that feel hard, or that hope is lost to darkness, remember we are here for a short time. The impact each one of us has is equally as powerful. A snow storm is not a storm, without each individal snowflake. ( and by the way I'm happy to be a snowflake!) We are powerful with every act of love.

Do the small things for yourself, even in the darkness. Paint, sing, gather, eat, hold your loved ones tight, and lets collectively fight for a future with more love.
